#5 - July 1983 - "Heroes" - The New Mutants meet Team America at a fair, where they are attacked by Viper and the Silver Samurai; Viper captures Psyche and blackmails Team America into stealing a certain object; the New Mutants and Team America join up to go to the rescue.
#6 - August 1983 - "Road Warriors!" - The New Mutants and Team America set off on their respective missions to save Psyche from Viper and the Silver Samurai. But to find where Psyche is being held, Karma must make a deal she may regret...
#7 - September 1983 - "Flying Down to Rio!" - Prof. X, suspecting foul play in Karma's disappearance, sends the New Mutants to Rio de Janeiro with Sunspot's archaeologist mother, who is captured by the Hellfire Club; the New Mutants rescue her, unaware that Sunspot's father is plotting against her.
#8 - October 1983 - "The Road to...Rome?" - The New Mutants and Sunspot's mother, journeying down the Amazon River, are attacked by natives; Cannonball captures one, who turns out to be not what she seems; their ship is destroyed, and they are captured by -- Romans?!?
#9 - November 1983 - "Arena" - The New Mutants and Amara are taken to Nova Roma, a hidden city near the headwaters of the Amazon, where they are caught in a power struggle involving Amara's father; the boys are forced t0 fight in the arena; and Wolfsbane is hailed as a god.
#10 - December 1983 - "Magma" - As Cannonball, Sunspot, and Wolfsbane try to figure out what's going on, Psyche and Amara are captured and taken to Selene for a sacrificial ritual. Selene throws Amara into a lava pool, and Amara re-emerges with super-human powers, demanding vengeance.
#12 - February 1984 - "Sunstroke" - Sunspot confronts his father, vowing that he and the New Mutants will do everything in their power to stop him; DaCosta decides to join the Hellfire Club; Amara loses control of her powers in Rio de Janeiro, and decides to join the New Mutants.
#15 - May 1984 - "Scaredy Cat" - Magik sends her astral form to the Massachusetts Academy and learns that the White Queen has captured Kitty and brainwashed Doug; the New Mutants learn that Magik is a sorceress; they head off to the rescue, but are met by the White Queen.
***All comics are bagged and boarded. They are all in beautiful condition, #10 has some slight creasing on the front cover. Very slight wear on top corner of front cover #12.
